Sheffield Citadel Band Visit Holland

Sheffield Citadel Band led an easter campaign in Holland with Lieut-Colonel Lincoln Parkhouse. On Good Friday, band members renewed friendships at Hallingen and a number of people found the Lord during the meeting.

The Band marched through the town on Saturday and were presented to the Major. While the playing at the clock tower in Terschelling island a number of contacts were made with passers by who stopped to listen. Later, the band presented a festival at a village and witnessed to more than 100 people who had no previous army contact. Items such as ‘The Scarlet Jersey’ and ‘Fanfare Hymn and Thanksgiving’ featured. Final festival concluded the day.

On Easter Sunday the band conducted an open-air witness before travelling to Leeuwarden, where the group spread the gospel through music and more people found the Lord.

At Zwolle on Monday the band supported divisional meetings before a festival completed Easter celebrations. As the band members returned home, many expressed how glad they were to have the opportunity to spread the gospel through music and encourage their fellow Salvationists in Holland.
